What does a student actually have to do in order to vote?
1. Students receive an e-mail at their school account. That
e-mail will tell them to visit our site where they can vote
2. On the site, they enter their e-mail address and one other identifying
characteristic (determined by the student government
3. The student views the candidates, any description (like party
or 100 word essay) and then casts their vote
4. When they are done, they click 'submit' and keep their browser
open
5. We send the student an e-mail, with a verification code. The
student then pastes the code into their browser window and then
clicks 'submit'
6. That's it!
What do YOU as a Student Government leader have to do to run
an election on CollegeVote.com?
Your end of the election is incredibly easy. Once you have decided
to purchase an election on our site, we will need to collect some
basic information from you, such as dates of your election, and
the names of your candidates. You will then decide what other information
you would like us to record on each candidate (for instance, what
party do they belong to, or what is each candidate's personal web
site address.
After this, all you have to do is collect a bit of information
from each candidate, and send it to us.
That’s it! We will take care of the rest, and you can focus
your energy on getting the word out about the election. Promote
the election in the simplest way possible to your students by saying:
"Check your e-mail on [date], and vote!"
To help you, the staff at CollegeVote.com is willing to work with
you to help generate ideas for promoting your election. We want
your election to be a success as much as you do. |
